Blood but no driver found in rolled SUV on Westside Road

WEST KELOWNA – Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that rolled down a 30-foot embankment off Westside Road early yesterday morning.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a media release at around 4:58 a.m. yesterday, Jan. 21, a 911 call was made by a concerned passerby who spotted an overturned grey GMC Envoy near Trader’s Cove.

“Our investigators became very concerned for the well-being of the occupant or occupants of the vehicle, when they located blood inside that vehicle,” O’Donaghey says in the release. “An extensive search of the area was conducted, with negative results, for anyone who may have either been ejected during the collision or had wandered off.”

The RCMP are asking witnesses to contact the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880.
