Ski conditions at Big White Ski Resort are listed as “marginal” but the hill will open with limited lifts and runs tomorrow.

The alpine base is listed at 67 cm today, Nov. 21, with more snow expected later today and tomorrow.

Three lifts will be open tomorrow at 8:45 a.m., including the Ridge Rocket, Plaza Chair and Lara’s Gondola along with three runs: Easy Street, Highway 33 and Hummingbird, according to media release from Big White. With the marginal skiing conditions, Big White is asking skiers and snowboarders to stick to the open runs.

In the North Okanagan, Silver Star Mountain Resort has postponed it's Nov. 22 opening day for alpine skiing, although Silver Star says in a release there was enough snow for a Nordic skiing opening on Nov. 16. The mountain will open for alpine skiing on Saturday, Nov. 24.

At Apex Mountain Resort near Penticton opening day is scheduled for Dec. 8.

Opening day at Sun Peaks near Kamloops was last Saturday, Nov. 17, making it the first B.C. ski hill to open for the season, the resort says in a release.
