MERRITT - Dierks Bentley was announced as the Saturday night headliner for the Rockin’ River Fest in Merritt back in November and now several other big country names are set to join him.

Big and Rich, who have previously performed in Merritt, will return to close out the weekend of country music on Sunday, Aug. 2 along with the Boom Chucka Boys while Nashville Star winner Mackenzie Porter will share the mainstage with Bentley on Saturday.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Ridley Bent will open the long weekend events on Thursday, July 30 and Lady Antebellum is set to take the stage Friday. More artists are expected to be announced over the coming weeks.

The festival is considered family-friendly and offers camping options on site. General admission tickets are available online.

In previous years other country stars, such as Aaron Pritchett, Brad Paisley, Emerson Drive, Johnny Reid and Terri Clark have also taken to the Riverfest stage.
