PENTICTON - The second annual Okanagan Beard Festival will soon come to a close with its final event next week.

The final round of beard judging takes place Monday, April 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Barking Parrot Bar in the Penticton Lakeside Inn.

The fun and friendly celebration of the bearded lifestyle has been ongoing for the past 14 weeks, involving 56 competitors up for judging in 13 categories.

Tickets for the big finale are $10 and available at Okanoggin Barbershop located at 254 Ellis St.

Partial proceeds from the event help fund Penticton’s Discovery House. The contest has raised over $3,000 for Discovery House to date.
