The BC SPCA is trying to find the owners of some stray pets found in the aftermath of wildfires in the region and have wound up at the an animal evacuation centre in Kamloops.

The SPCA has released photos of the animals today, July 16, in the hope the owners recognize them.

“We know their owners must be missing them and we would love to see them back together as soon as possible,” BC SPCA spokesperson Lorie Chortyk said in the release.

“We have not been able to contact their families because they have no identification, but we hope someone will recognize these photos.”

Owners are asked to please contact the BC SPCA Helpline at 1-855-622-7722 between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily to claim their pets.

Anyone missing a pet is also encouraged to check lost animals listed at bcpetsearch.com.
