BC RCMP officer faces breach of trust charge

FILE PHOTO

A Mountie who works in the Langley detachment has been charged with breach of trust.

The B.C. Prosecution Service says the single charge was approved against Const. Navarash Dhillon.

It says in a statement that the charge relates to alleged incidents that occurred in Langley between September and December 2018.

The service doesn’t say what the allegations are against the officer.

It says the charge was approved by an experienced Crown counsel with no connection to the officer.

The constable's first appearance on the charge is set for June 22.
