A BC man has won a whopping $58 million in the lottery.
Hao Ping Chung of Richmond saw that the jackpot was $58 million and decided to get in on the action, according to a BC Lottery Corporation press release issued today March 22.
“I saw a big jackpot and bought a ticket,” Chung said in the release.

“I was at home when I found out I won. It didn’t feel real. I tried to withdraw the funds to see if it was actually there,” he said.
The odds of winning a Lotto 6/49 Classic jackpot are 1:13,983,816 for each $3 play.
This is the first Gold Ball Jackpot prize awarded since the game was announced in September 2022.
“It still feels unreal,” Chung said.
At first his parents didn’t believe him when he told them he won on the March 6 draw.
“They were surprised and asked if it was a scam.”
He said it’s time for a vacation.
“Some nice beaches, maybe.”
