B.C. and Alberta truckers are offering their condolences after a semi-truck driver died in a fiery crash last week.

Both the driver of a Honda Civic and the driver of a semi truck were killed in an accident after the Civic crossed the centre line and hit the semi head-on, on July 28, according to the RCMP.

The woman in the Honda was killed in the crash and the trucker died after the semi veered off the road and burst into flames. The flames then sparked a grassfire that the Ashcroft Fire Department fought before BC Wildfire Service crews arrived.

A Facebook post for Doug Sharpe, from Nampa, Alta. is being shared to various trucker social media groups.

"Let's show some support for Doug and his family! R.I.P. ol' friend," the post reads.

Many commenters shared photos of semi-trucks and offered messages of support for Sharpe and his family.
