VANCOUVER - An 11-month-old girl has been killed and the infant's father injured after they were hit by one of two vehicles that collided in downtown Vancouver.
Police say the pedestrians were hit as an SUV and a sports car collided Tuesday night, forcing one vehicle on to the sidewalk.
The child died at the scene while the father was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Const. Tania Visintin says both drivers remained at the scene, and the driver of the SUV was arrested.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Visintin says no charges have yet been recommended.
