THOMPSON-OKANAGAN - A set of snowfall warnings issued by Environment Canada this afternoon could mean very snowy roads for the Southern Interior mountain passes.
The snowfall warning is calling for 15 to 25 centimetres of snow tonight, Nov. 25, and tomorrow morning.
On the high mountain passes, light snow will begin this evening and become heavier overnight and early Saturday morning.
Expect the snow to slow down and stop by late Saturday afternoon.
Environment Canada says these high mountain passes will be affected by the warning:
-
Highway 3 Hope to Princeton via Allison pass
-
Trans-Canada Highway Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass
-
The Okanagan Connector Merritt to Kelowna
-
Coquihalla Highway Hope to Merritt
Current road conditions and highway cams can be accessed at DriveBC's website.
