The Kelowna RCMP is investigating an alleged assault that occurred yesterday in City Park.
The RCMP received a report that an assault had occurred near the water park at roughly 3 p.m., June 30.
"A man was subsequently detained by bystanders and is currently receiving medical treatment at the local hospital. There are no further concerns for public safety," said Cst. Mike Della-Paolera, media relations officer with the Kelowna RCMP, in a press release.
The Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit is conducting an investigation.
"Further information will be released when available," Della-Paolera said in the news release.
