ISLAMABAD - Security officials say gunmen in a car and on motorcycles attacked a Pakistani army camp, killing six soldiers and a policeman.
The officials say the attack occurred early today in Gujrat, a city in eastern Pakistan where thousands of hardline Islamists were spending the night on their way to Islamabad to protest the reopening of the NATO supply line to Afghanistan.
The identities of the roughly half a dozen gunmen who attacked the camp were unknown, and it was unclear if they were linked with the Islamists staying in the city.
The camp that was attacked had been set up by the army to search for debris of a helicopter that crashed recently.
