Arts on the Avenue returns to Kelowna offering twice the experience than usual.
With two dates this summer, Arts on the Avenue will be in downtown Kelowna with visual art, live art demonstrations and performances on July 16 and Aug.1 on Bernard Avenue from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“People should come prepared to buy art and experience all kinds of visual arts,” event producer Saturday Sazaran said in a Festivals Kelowna media release. “This is a great chance to start some early Christmas shopping or to buy a one-of-a- kind gift for a special occasion.
Arts on the Avenue offers other free events during the day including group mural painting, weaving a fabric wall and other artistic activities to fill the day.
Attendees can walk through the street event and purchase art they love while taking in locally created art pieces. They'll also have the opportunity to talk to local talent and professional visual artists.
"We’ll also have live musical performances throughout the day and night so plan to spend a few hours with us,” Sazaran said.
