Armstrong woman seriously hurt in crash dies from injuries

VERNON – A woman from Armstrong who was injured in a collision with a transport truck last week in Vernon died from her injuries on the weekend.

RCMP say the 26-year-old woman was driving northbound on Highway 97A when she attempted to turn left onto Pleasant Valley Road and was hit by a southbound commercial transport truck.

The crash happened at about 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 according to a RCMP media release.

Police say the woman succumbed to her injuries on Sunday, Aug. 7.

RCMP have not released the woman’s identity.

No word from police if any charges have been laid, or are being considered, as the investigation into the crash continues.
