Monte Lake house fire under investigation

ARMSTRONG - Police are still investigating the cause of house fire in the Monte Lake area earlier this week.

The fire was reported in the 4000 block of Paxton Valley Road on Monday. A media release from Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP says the house was not occupied at the time the fire broke out but described it as 'lived in.'

"RCMP investigators remain on the scene and are continuing their investigation into the cause of the fire," Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says.

— This story was corrected at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 3, 2017 to say the house fire was in the Monte Lake area, not Armstrong.
