VERNON - Police are asking for help from the public in identifying a suspect who robbed Vernon Cash Solutions Inc. on 26 Avenue in Vernon yesterday afternoon.

On Nov. 10, at approximately 1:30 p.m. a man entered the store, showed what appeared to be a handgun and made off on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy says in a release.

Noseworthy says police arrived within minutes of the crime but the suspect was already gone.

"The female employee was shaken up, but not harmed," Noseworthy says.

Police describe the man as Caucasian, standing 6'0" tall, tattoo on his left hand, with a stocky build, wearing sunglasses and a hooded sweatshirt.
