KAMLOOPS – If you think you have a bland office space when it comes to decor, you may have a chance to embellish the walls with the Kamloops Art Council’s help.
The Boring Office Contest which began today, Feb. 5, gives you the chance to show a panel of judges just how sad your office walls are. If you win for the most boring office, they’ll loan you local art to jazz it up.
To apply to the contest, post your photo on the council’s Boring Office Contest page on Facebook before Feb. 23.
If you win first prize, you can rent three pieces of artwork to hang in your workspace for free for a period of three months. Second prize is two pieces of artwork and third prize is one piece of artwork.
Contest winners will get a chance to have a sneak preview of the Art Council’s “Art Exposed” Exhibition to make a wishlist of pieces they would like to see in their space.
Even if you don't have the most boring office in town, the council does have art rentals available to the public.
