Penticton RCMP were called to a Main Street apartment complex around 2 a.m. this morning to find what appeared to be gunshot damage to the apartment's rear door. An investigation continues.

RCMP are investigating after a report of a shot fired in downtown Penticton early this morning.
Officers were called to an apartment complex in the 600 block of Main Street at around 2 a.m. today, April 20, on reports of a possible gun shot and and the sound of glass shattering, according to an RCMP media release.
RCMP spokesperson Const. James Grandy said officers arriving on scene found the glass in a rear door at the apartment shattered, with evidence suggesting the damage was caused by a firearm.
He said there was no evidence of any injuries.
An investigation continues with police asking anyone with information to call Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300, or call anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
