KAMLOOPS - The annual Boogie the Bridge fun walk or run is another huge success.
Hundreds of people ran, walked, biked, roller bladed or pushed strollers this morning, April 26, on the course which includes the Overlanders Bridge. The more serious athletes could run the five, ten or 21 kilometre courses.
Construction on the bridge forced organizers to change the start and finish location to Riverside Park this year. As well, worries about congestion on the span meant staggered starts for the participants today.
The 18th annual Boogie the Bridge not only gets people outside in the fresh air for some exercise, it raises money for Kamloops' charities.
No word yet on how much money was collected as organizers count up the donations. Last year, over $143,000 was raised.
