If you haven’t been able to score a spot at any of the pop-up drive-in movie events in Kamloops as of late, there’s another chance for you.

The Whispering Pines/Clinton Indian Band is hosting a drive-in movie night tomorrow, July 3, at 9 p.m.

Alena Fearnley, an administrative assistant with the band, says people can enjoy the new Dolittle movie during the event.

“The Kamloops Rural RCMP came up with the idea with us and all the proceeds are going to charities around town like the SPCA,” Fearnley says.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own snacks and drinks as there will be no concession at the event. There is a limit of 50 cars at the showing, and 15 spots have already been booked up. Fearnley adds that there is 20 spots saved for band members and folks from the rural RCMP detachment, so you should book quickly.

The showing will take place at the hayfield along Whispering Pines Drive, which is about 40 minutes north of Kamloops. For those who aren’t band members, a minimum donation of $25 is required. To book your spot, call the band office at 250-579-5772.
