Another cool, cloudy and wet week in Kamloops forecast

There's a good chance you'll need an umbrella in Kamloops this week.

Don't put away that umbrella just yet, it looks like the rainy weekend weather in Kamloops last weekend is going to be with us all week.

At least we’re not alone with our weather woes. The Weather Network reports drenching rains fell in Alberta and Saskatchewan on the weekend, prompting flood warnings for Lac La Biche County on Sunday afternoon while parts of Manitoba today are expecting 30 to 50 mm of rain under the likelihood of severe thunderstorms.

Environment Canada says Kamloops should see a mix of sun and cloud with a 30 per cent chance of showers this afternoon.

Winds should be west at 20 km/h gusting to 40 this morning.

Today’s high should reach 19 Celsius with the low down to 7 C, along with a 30 per cent chance of showers early this evening before skies become partly cloudy.

Tuesday should see skies clouding over in the morning with a 40 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon. Tuesday’s high should reach 17 C with a low to 9 C.

Wednesday could be the brightest day of the week, with a mix of sun and cloud along with a high of 23 C predicted.

There’s more sun and clouds forecast for Thursday, but there’s also a 60 per cent chance of showers, along with a high of 23 C and a low of 14 C.

With the weekend comes more wet weather. Friday’s forecast for Kamloops calls for showers and a high of 22 C.

There’s a 60 per cent chance of rain overnight Friday, continuing into Saturday and Saturday night.

Saturday’s high should reach 21 C with a low to 13 C.

Oh, yes, and there’s more clouds and a 60 per cent chance of showers expected Sunday, along with a high of 23 C.

Kamloops residents should normally be experiencing a high of 24 C and a low of 11 C this time of year.
