There’s still a way to waddle around the virtual Antarctica that came to life in Kelowna.

Die-hard fans of Club Penguin have revived the game with another bootleg version. Disney pulled the plug on the official version in 2017, while other knock-off versions were popping up before getting shut down.

The original game launched in 2005 and was purchased by Disney in 2007.

New Club Penguin” is a fan-made revival that is not affiliated with Disney, the site claims. It appears to have been active since 2020.

It’s free to play and the game is very similar to the original version. The point of the game is to create a penguin avatar, and then explore a fun frozen world while socializing with other penguins.

Messages to New Club Penguin and Disney were to responded to by the time of publication.
