A fast-moving wildfire south of Jasper has forced the town to evacuate.
An evacuation order has been issued for the town nestled in the Rocky Mountains west of Edmonton.
Alberta Emergency Alert says the fire is expected to reach the town in five hours and people are being encouraged to leave immediately.
Drivers are being told to go west to British Columbia on Highway 16.
As they leave, drivers are also being advised to slow down and use their headlights.
The same fire has also led to Highway 16 being closed for westbound travel at the Jasper Park gates, on the east side.
More coming.
