Alleged intoxicated woman drives herself to Lillooet RCMP detachment

FILE PHOTO

An allegedly intoxicated woman drove herself and two others to Lillooet`s RCMP detachment earlier this week.

On November 13 at 4 p.m. a woman drove to the police station with two men. One of the men attended inside the detachment for information from police, according to the RCMP`s news release.

"Police knew the man to be prohibited from driving and asked him how he got to the detachment. The man stated his girlfriend drove him there," according to the RCMP.

RCMP officers recognized the driver and had seen her consuming alcohol earlier that afternoon.

An officer conducted an impaired driving investigation and demanded the woman to provide a breath sample.

She failed the screening device twice.

The driver was then prohibited from driving for 90 days, and had her vehicle impounded for a minimum of 30 days.
