PENTICTON — Mounties arrested an armed 17-year-old last week for trafficking on Main Street in Penticton, but this week he faces court as a man.

Officers say the teenager was located in the 700 block May 28 and was in possession of methamphetamine, trafficking paraphernalia and a concealed weapon. He was held in custody overnight for court where he was released.

The teenager is also facing a Penticton trafficking charge from March 2013 for marijuana and several criminal charges out of Keremeos.

Police say in the eight days following the May 28 arrest, the teenager marked a birthday and was again arrested by RCMP June 5, at the age of 18 years. This arrest happened on Eckhardt avenue where he once more found to be in possession of methamphetamine and another concealed weapon. He was held in custody again for court, to face several new charges, including another charge of trafficking.
