KELOWNA – RCMP are looking to speak with a man they say stole several expensive small appliances from London Drugs and then tried to return them for a discount the next day.
A man entered the London Drugs on Harvey Avenue on May 8, according to a Crime Stoppers release. He brought a Kitchen Aid mixer with him, which he placed in a shopping cart. He went to the back of the store where he placed his mixer on the shelf. He then took two more mixers and put them in his cart.
“He then went to the front and attempted to exchange one for the other (a more expensive model),” the release says. “When he was refused by the cashier he left the store with one of the mixers (white in colour, valued at $549) that had not been paid for. He returned the next day with the same mixer and attempted to get a refund from another store cashier, who also refused him as he had no receipt.”
