A 71-year-old Alberta man has been identified as the drowning victim pulled from Skaha Lake on Sunday.
Officers were called to a report of a drowning on Skaha Lake in Penticton, July 28, according to an RCMP media release.
RCMP said the man was “associated with a rented personal water craft with only himself on board.”
“At this time, the man appears to have drowned, with no foul play suspected, nor concerns of criminality or negligence on the part of the rental company,” RCMP media liaison officer Cpl. James Grandy said in the release.
Both the RCMP and BC Coroners Service are investigating.
