KELOWNA - Some travellers got an unexpected detour to Kelowna this morning.

The Air Canada flight took off from Vancouver this morning when it experienced a suspected hydraulic issue enroute to Cranbrook, a media release says.

The flight was diverted to Kelowna International Airport and landed without incident for the 50 passengers on board.

As a precaution, emergency response personnel stood by when the aircraft landed safely at the airport this morning at 10:56 a.m.
