A Kelowna Chihuahua cross has become a new mom to an orphaned baby squirrel.
A farmer in Kelowna found the baby squirrel alone in his field over the Easter long weekend with minor scratches but looking undernourished.
The squirrel had run up to him and wouldn't leave him alone so he brought the squirrel his next door neighbour in the hopes it would find some company and care, as it seemed it had lost its mother.

That is where it met Noodle, who immediately fell in love with the baby, nuzzling it with her nose and spending hours watching it in its cage.
Noodle's owner said that the squirrel is doing well.
"He went from just being an emaciated little thing to plumping up a lot," he said.
The squirrel's scratches have since healed.
Noodle licks and cleans the squirrel, sometimes nudging the baby with her nose to flip him over and cleaning him like a mother would do with a puppy.
"After I feed him, he's got a little milk moustache, so she always cleans it up a little," Noodle's owner said.
They keep a close eye on Noodle when she's with the baby squirrel to make sure she doesn't abandon her mothering role.
And of course, Jorgen Boo the squirrel now has his own Instagram account.
