Activities take on a more relaxed nature this weekend in the South Okanagan

PENTICTON - No shortage of things to do this weekend in the South Okanagan.

The Rock the Sun concert series continue today, July 28 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Gyro Park in Penticton. Daring Greatly will provide the entertainment in this free downtown event. For more, see the Downtown Penticton Association website.

Many Hats Theatre Company presents “The Norwegians," today and tomorrow at 8 p.m. with a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Tickets are $19 to $22 available at the Many Hats Theatre box office at 1475 Fairview Rd. For more information, see the Many Hats Theatre Company website.

Michael Kaeshammer performs at The Dream Cafe today and tomorrow at 8 p.m.Cost is $59. For more details, call The Dream Cafe at 250-490-9012.

The Penticton Farmers' Market and The Downtown Community Market run tomorrow, July 29. Both markets get underway at 8:30 a.m., with the Farmers' Market ending at 1 p.m. and the Community Market at 2 p.m.

The Summerland Museum is hosting Geology bus tours on Saturday, July 29 from 10 a.m. until 1p.m. Tours will be conducted by local geologist Dr. Kathleen Jagger. The tour includes some short hikes and has limited ticket sales, through the Summerland Museum. For more information, call Cait Shaw at: 250-494-9395.

The Summer Lego Club takes place at the Penticton Public Library once again, Saturday, July 29 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Open to ages five plus, but children under eight must be accompanied by an adult. For more information,call the library at 250-770-7786.

Okanagan Falls Community and Farmers Market takes place Sunday, July 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with local music, fresh vegetables, local artisans, and more. For more information call Dorothy at 250-488-3558.

The Leir House Sunday Arts Market takes place July 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with art, entertainment, food, vendors and more in a shady outdoor venue. For more information, call 250-492-7997.

West Hammock Music entertains at the Cannery Brewing Co. on Sunday, July 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
