KAMLOOPS – A man accused of murdering his former common-law wife and taking their three children hostage will find out if he is eligible for bail in a week.
Iain Drummond Scott, born 1972, appeared for a bail review last week in Kamloops Supreme Court. Details of the hearing are covered by a publication ban and cannot be made public.
Scott was denied bail after his arrest. A bail review is an application for a Supreme Court Justice to examine the accused's detention order and bail plan to determine the possibility of release.
Angila Wilson, 33, was found dead in her Clearwater home on Easter weekend last year.
Scott was arrested after allegedly taking his three young children hostage in a police standoff.
A judge will decide on Scott’s proposed bail plan February 24.
