OKANAGAN - Waterproof costumes are a good idea for the trick or treaters tonight as Environment Canada forecasts a rainy Halloween.
The forecast calls for showers today, Oct. 31, a brisk wind developing late this afternoon and a high of 11 Celsius. There is a 30 per cent chance of showers overnight with the wind becoming light and a low of 4 C.
Expect a chance of showers through Wednesday, with highs between 10 C to 12 C, and a chilly 4 C to 7 C at night. Vernon and Kelowna may get a peek at the sun on Tuesday, but the 60 per cent chance of showers means it won’t last long.
After a few days of tricks, Mother Nature finally offers up a small treat on Thursday. Sunshine is expected to return to the valley, and a high of 13 C is in keeping with seasonal averages.
Skies will stay dry as the weekend approaches, although clouds are expected to roll back in by Thursday evening. Despite the cloud cover, Friday’s high of 12 C is a pleasant way to welcome November.
