A weekend full of Christmas events in Kamloops

There are many things to put you in the Christmas spirit in Kamloops.

KAMLOOPS - There is a weekend full of Christmas activities planned for Kamloops.

As the holidays season approaches so does the Spirit of Christmas at Privato Winery. Today, Dec. 1, until 8 p.m. you can enjoy complimentary wine tastings, a crackling bonfire, mulled wine and a chance to admire the twinkling lights and the beautiful Christmas decorations within the winery.

Until Dec. 12 you can watch a Christmas classic at the Western Canada Theatre. To get into the season why not watch A Christmas Carol. For show times, click here.

Christmas at the Courthouse is taking place tomorrow, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This annual event showcases many quality items for sale by artists and artisans in the beautiful venue of the Old Courthouse building.

The Thompson Valley Orchestra is presenting Prelude to Christmas this weekend. On Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. or Dec. 3 at 3 p.m. you can join the orchestra for an evening of Christmas music which includes music from Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite" and music from "The Polar Express."

Tomorrow is the Valleyview Christmas Craft Market Fundraiser at the Gateway City Church. Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. you can see our local vendors, artisans, bakers and home-based businesses. You could have your family photo taken or just enjoy the speciality coffee bar. All proceeds going towards B.C. Children's Hospital. For more information, check out their Facebook page.

On Sunday, Dec. 3, you can go to the Hamlets at Westsyde Annual Christmas Craft Fair. It is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This annual event not only brings the joy of the season to Kamloops residents but to the residents in The Hamlets at Westsyde.
