The biggest jackpot in Lotto 6/49 history is up for grabs tomorrow.

The Gold Ball jackpot for the draw on Saturday, Sept. 23, currently stands at $66 million, according to a BC Lottery Corporation media release.

While the Classic Jackpot of $5 million has a guaranteed winner, the Gold Ball Jackpot, which would award the life-changing $66 million, requires the right ball to be drawn and there are only two left, meaning there's a 50-50 chance the jackpot will be won by a lucky Canadian this weekend.

This weekend’s jackpot marks history as it is the first time the prize has risen to this amount following game enhancements launched in September last year which allow for bigger jackpot prizes, the lottery corporation said. If the Gold Ball jackpot is not won this weekend, the prize will grow to its maximum amount of $68 million for the Wednesday, Sept. 27, draw this time with a guaranteed winner.

Tickets for the Lottery 6/49 draw can be purchased at any of the 3,400 lottery retailers in British Columbia, online at PlayNow.com or on the BCLC Lotto! App.

All lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date on their ticket to claim their prize, the lottery corporation said. Specific retail locations from where the winning lottery ticket was purchased, as well as the lottery winner’s name, will be announced once the prize is claimed.
