WEST KELOWNA - Residents closest to a wildfire burning above the neighbourhood of Glenrosa were put on evacuation alert early this morning.
The Central Okanagan Emergency Operations Centre issued the alert just before 1 a.m. for 195 properties and nearly 500 residents. For full details on the alert, including which addresses, how to prepare and where to go, see this page.
The Law Creek wildfire was still listed at eight hectares in size by B.C. Wildfire, but the last estimate was at 7:35 p.m. Thursday evening. Expect that to change when new estimates are released this morning, July 20 because of heavy winds for hours last night.
