The Penticton and District Garden Club is holding its annual Festival of Flowers Flower Show Saturday, June 8 at the Cherry Lake Shopping Centre. The show is a beautiful display of growers’ bounties. There is no charge and anyone is encouraged to enter and attend.

There are various categories including roses, potted plants, border plants, floral arrangements and photography, and kids categories.

This may be the kind of run many like.

The Penticton Beer Run returns Saturday, June 8.

The tour takes participants through a beautiful, gentle 10 k.m. course showing off some of the best vistas in the South Okanagan. The flat or gentle downhill route is easily managed by running or walking.

It is important to highlight that the net proceeds of this event are donated to the Youth Outdoor Recreation Society. They provide affordable programs for mainstream and at-risk youth to participate in outdoor recreation, education and leadership activities.

Community Support is very important to Hoodoo Adventures, the event sponsors as they believe strongly that giving back creates more opportunity and success for everyone.  What better start than exposing our kids to all the adventures of the valley?
