Tea and jam go together

Music jamming that is. Everyone is welcome at the Tea and Experimental Music Jam art event where sound and the process of creating sound will be explored in a group setting. Musicians and noise making enthusiasts are invited to bring an instrument and improvise at this open jam. Spectators are welcome to mingle and experience the sights and sounds. Russian style tea with jam will be served. The fun happens on Saturday, May 18 at the Summerland Arts and Cultural Centre. Admission is $5 at door. The market spans Main Street's 200 and 300 blocks, plus sections of Front Street and Backstreet Boulevard. Combined, participating downtown businesses and registered vendors feature unique artisanal handmade products and manufactured goods that include clothing, food, jewelry, crafts, collectibles, antiques, furniture and much more. Live music and a food court with a selection of food vendors make the market even better.
