KELOWNA - Fashion, fundraising and fun is what’s happening this weekend in Kelowna.

Shopping and wine. What more can a girl want?

Come and join an evening of swapping, shopping and socializing for two great causes – Mamas 4 Mamas and Springfield Kids. Best part? There will be wine.

There will be all sorts or fantastic clothing and accessories at the swap running from 6 – 10 p.m. Friday, May 31.

And if you’ve been meaning to clean out your stuffed closet, have clothes that are the wrong size or that you haven’t worn in some time, now is the time to put those in a box to the left, and bring them down to the Oak Learning Centre. Donations of ladies spring and summer wear of all sizes and categories, as well as accessories are being accepted prior to the Friday event. If you have items to donate you can arrange a drop off or pick up before the event. Email Vicky or call / text: 250 681-2473. If you donate, your ticket is half price.

If you have some high end items that you aren't ready to let go of for free, you will be happy to hear they are also accepting consignment items. You must be at the event to claim your portion or collect.

New this year will be a Collector's Preview on opening night where special guests of the artists as well as pre-purchased ticket holders will have exclusive access to view and purchase the art, meet the artists and enjoy some excellent food as well as bar service. Wine tasting is by The View Winery, cider tasting by Scenic Road Cider Co., beer tasting by Prohibition Brewing, appetizers by Peter's YIG and Kelowna Curling Club.

The first 20 people in the door on Saturday and Sunday will receive an Inspiration tote filled with goodies from vendors and sponsors. Admission for Friday’s Collector's Preview includes full weekend access for $20. Tickets can be pre-purchased online here.

Keeping it clean on the mountain.

Enthusiastic volunteers are encouraged to assist in cleaning the debris and garbage that's been buried under the snow at Big White this season.

The Telus Days of Giving Big White Community Clean Up Day gets underway Saturday, June 1. Participants are to meet at the Village Centre Mall at 9 a.m. for a group photo before heading out.

Help restore Big White's beauty for the summer season, then enjoy a complimentary BBQ at noon. Please ensure you bring your token to the BBQ.

This is a great way to bond with other members of the local community while giving back to our incredible mountain. For more info go here.
