A second Kamloops city councillor has contracted COVID-19.
Councillor Mike O'Reilly says he started to exhibit symptoms - chills, a dry cough, and a headache - on Friday night, March 12.
"They didn't let up... and I thought it best to get a COVID test to make sure and it came back positive Saturday night," O'Reilly said. "We (O'Reilly and family) have followed guidelines strictly from the start of the pandemic. We have very little contact outside of our family bubble."

O'Reilly said he won't speculate as to where he may have contracted the virus, but said, "it's not linked to the Denis Walsh case."
Councillor Dennis Walsh tested positive on March 3, and was placed in a 10 day quarantine.
O'Reilly, along with members of his family are also in quarantine, but O'Reilly said he is the only one who has been tested for COVID-19.
He said he's feeling "a bit better" today and he will participate via long distance technology with any city council business as necessary, however he also says council is on break currently.
