Did you buy a lottery ticket on Vancouver Island last year? A $1 million dollar prize might be waiting for you.

The winner's luck is soon to expire, though. B.C. Lottery Corporation says in a media release issued today, March 11, there's one more week for the holder of a winning Lotto 6/49 ticket to claim their prize.

The Guaranteed Prize ticket was drawn on March 18, 2020 and BCLC is encouraging people to check their tickets for the number 19117903-02.

It was purchased in northern Vancouver Island region, which includes Alert Bay, Post Hardy, Coal Harbour and other municipalities.

"All lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to claim their prize," BCLC said in the release.

BCLC will release the specific retail location where it was purchased and the winner's name once they come forward.

More information about claiming your winnings can be found at the BCLC website here.
