The speed at which new schools are being added to the list of potential COVID exposures continues at a frantic pace in the Interior Health region.
It was only on Tuesday of last week that health regions started making public potential exposures and the Interior Health region had recorded 15 by the end of that day.
The number of schools affected rapidly increased to 68 on Friday afternoon and grew to 87 by this afternoon, Oct. 4. That includes 17 in the Central Okanagan school district and 11 in the Kamloops Thompson school district.
There are also three independent schools and one francophone school in the Central Okanagan with potential exposures along with two independent schools in Kamloops.
There are seven schools listed in the North Okanagan-Shuswap school district as well as one independent school in Salmon Arm.
The Vernon School District has three plus one independent school, Okanagan-Similkameen has three and Okanagan-Skaha has one, along with one francophone school in Penticton and one independent school in Summerland.
The list of schools with potential COVID exposures grew to 134 in the Fraser Health region from 92 on Friday.
The Vancouver Coastal Health region has two schools with potential exposures, the Northern Health region has four and there are 27 schools listed on Vancouver Island.
