The Vernon Wellness Fair takes place March 4-5 at the Vernon Recreation Centre from 10am to 5pm Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday. Admission is free.
The Vernon Wellness Fair showcases over 70 products and services for the mind, body and soul. There are vendors showcasing things such as essential oils, acupuncture, natural cleaning products, spiritual guidance, weight loss training, organic products and everything in between. Whether you want to be pampered, shop, or have a specific health ailment, there is something for everyone! Visitors also receive a free welcome bag and chances to win prizes.
This year is a special one, as it marks the 15th year! Guests can celebrate by spending their day working their way through the fair and enjoying samples, information, and even a massage. Connect Hearing will also be offering free hearing checks to those who suspect hearing loss. Has your spouse been asking ‘what?!’ a little too often? Be sure to bring them by as well.
“There has been a large shift in the population…consumers are able to access more information about the products they use and the impact they have on their health and the environment. In turn, they are choosing eco-friendly, organic, non GMO and natural alternatives,” says Chris Madsen, event founder. “This has created a large demand for healthy and eco-friendly products, and we are noticing small businesses geared towards health thrive in Vernon!”
“There is a big shift towards organic and natural products. People are questioning what they are putting on their skin and what they are consuming. There are so many small changes we can make to our lifestyles that will make a long term impact on our health,” Shara, event organizer, ads.
The event organizers, father-daughter duo Chris and Shara, hosted their first show in Penticton last fall. The response was amazing, with over 2000 guests and 70 exhibitors coming out. They are also planning their 7th Annual Wellness Fair in Kelowna. The fair organizers have discovered that the Okanagan is a very health-conscious community and has a large number of businesses catering to health and wellness.
