A man allegedly kicked a teenager in the face earlier this week in Kamloops and the RCMP is hoping to identify him.
A report came into police that a 14-year-old victim was assaulted at the McArthur Island skate park shortly before 6 p.m. on April 4, according to a release from the Kamloops RCMP.
“Prior to the assault the victim youth and a second youth, had an altercation which resulted in the victim youth being on the ground, at which point the suspect allegedly kicked the victim in the face,” Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said in the release.
The suspect was last seen running from the skate park. He appears to be around 35 years old with white skin and a reddish beard. He was wearing black pants, dark running shoes, a black hat, an orange hoodie, and also a grey hoody with a graphic blue t-shirt.
“We are releasing a photo of the suspect taken shortly after the assault, in hopes that someone can identify him,” Shoihet said.
Anybody who can help identify the man is asked to call the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 at reference 2023-11379.
