11th Annual Kids of Steel Triathlon

Sunday, June 16th marks the 11th Annual Kamloops Kids of Steel Triathlon. This City of Kamloops hosted event boasts up to 200 participants each year and has grown to be one of the best Kids of Steel events in Western Canada. Come out and volunteer and cheer on these kids as they swim, run and bike this Fathers Day!

The Kids of Steel Triathlon takes place at the Brocklehurst Recreation Centre. This event connects swimming, cycling and running with a transition area, providing a chance for kids to try out the sport. It is open to kids born between 1994 and 2008, with training wheels and life jackets allowed. Every participant is a winner.

This event needs over 80 volunteers to be successful and organizers are still looking to fill the following positions:

-  Bike course counters
-  Run course counters
-  Course set up
-  Transition
-  Pool lap counters
-  Timing recorders

Please email Dion Silversides at koskamloops@gmail.com or call 250-318-3405 if you’d like to volunteer.

A special thank you to the sponsors: City of Kamloops, Aqua Pure, Bicycle Café, Blackwell Dairy, Booster Juice, Dominos Pizza, Kamloops Triathlon Club, LN Group, Manhattan Grill, Natures Fare, Runners Sole, Sean Felker Photography and Wayside Printers.
