Over the last 24 hours, there were 768 new cases recorded in B.C., with the highest number, 239, in the Fraser Health region. There were 183 in the Interior Health region and 161 in the much less populous Northern Health region.

Vancouver Coastal had 83 new cases and there were 103 on Vancouver Island, according to a Ministry of Health news release issued today, Sept. 17.

There are 298 people in B.C. hospitals with 135 in intensive care out of 6,031 active cases, including 1,499 in the Interior Health region.
