Snow continues to fall on mountain passes and Environment Canada said to expect another day of less than ideal winter driving.
The snowfall warning for the Coquihalla Highway, from Hope to Merritt, and Highway 3, from Hope to Princeton via Allison Pass, will stay in place until Monday morning. Snowfall of 10 to 15 centimetres is expected Sunday and the snow isn't expected to taper off into flurries until Monday morning, the national weather agency said in a statement.
Those who have been driving the route have been posting to social media, showing pictures of everything from white-out conditions to simply wintry scenes. Most have said the conditions are extremely wintry, with others warning that the road should not be travelled today.
Road conditions are available at www.drivebc.ca.
