  • Interior Health expanding immunization for meningococcal disease over the holidays

    Immunizations will be offered at public health centres through drop-in clinics or booked appointments, and at select Shoppers Drug Mart locations throughout the Okanagan.

    Due to high demand and additional vaccine received, Interior Health (IH) will continue to offer the Meningococcal Quadrivalent vaccine for all people in grades 9-12, or aged 15-19 throughout the Okanagan over the holidays.

    KELOWNA - The deadline to assist a Kelowna woman in her drive to send much-needed school supplies to a community in eastern Africa is nearing. Kelowna resident, Kerrie Niemeier, is calling on the community to assist her in collecting as many school supplies as possible bound for a small Tanzanian community by the end of October. Pencils, pens, erasers, writing books, etc. will be collected until Oct. 31, 2016 and shipped to Africa in November.
