The goals of this project are to increase book ownership in all homes and to encourage a love of reading. Over the past eight years, more than 80,000 children’s books have been given away.

  • Light a Bulb Campaign Close to Goal

    Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation’s Light a Bulb Campaign is at 97% of its goal, raising $244,586 towards the $250,000 needed to purchase new endoscopes in the VJH Ambulatory Care Unit.

    “We are very thankful to have received so many generous donations over the past week, including a gift of $30,000 from Grizzly Curb & Concrete,” said Lisa Westermark, VJH Foundation Executive Director.
  • Call for Submissions: Community Arts Project at Kelowna Art Gallery

    December 18, 2017 – Kelowna, BC: The Kelowna Art Gallery is pleased to announce that applications for their community arts space are now being accepted. The selected proposal will be offered an exhibition in The Front project space of the Gallery, from June 30 to September 9, 2018, and will be eligible for project funding.
  • Summerland Kinsmen Polar Bear Dip

    The Kinsmen Club of Summerland would like to welcome you to our annual Polar Bear Dip. It will be held at Sun-Oka beach on January 1 2018 at Noon sharp. We will have hot dogs, hot coco, and of course our collectors t-shirts available by donation for all attendees. We've been running this event for over 30 years, and lately it's been successful having local media helping us to promote our event.
