About iNFOnews
Since 2012, iNFOnews (InfoTel News Ltd) has brought local news that truly matters to online readers in our communities.
Vernon, Penticton, Kamloops and Kelowna are distinct communities, each with its own perspective, successes and challenges—they can’t be served well through a single page. We have distinct sections for each city and reporters and photographers on the ground bringing you breaking news, weather, trends, local politics, crime and sure, even some fun.
Together our reporters and editors have more than 30 years experience and follow the highest standards of journalism. And we’re always backed up by top provincial, national and international news as well as sports, business, entertainment and lifestyle news you need.
We always want to know how we’re doing. To give us some feedback, suggest a correction, note a typo, provide a tip for a possible story or feature, simply send an email to editor Marshall Jones at mjones(at)infonews.ca
About InfoTel Multimedia
InfoTel Multimedia is a locally owned and operated directory (both online and print) servicing
the North Thompson (Kamloops & area), Shuswap (Salmon Arm, Revelstoke &
area), Vernon, Kelowna, Penticton, and South Okanagan areas of British Columbia,
Canada. InfoTel Multimedia has been in the publishing business since 1989
and has been a member of the Canadian Independent Directory Association since its
inception in 1998.
CEO Bonnie Derry was with Dominion Directory for three years and with an
independent directory for one year. She graduated from City University, Seattle,
Washington with an MBA.
" In 1996 I purchased a failing business and held fast to my belief that if
you have the best product in the marketplace, you will succeed." said Bonnie.
Ranking Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs on a composite score based on the size, growth rate and profitability of their businesses, the PROFIT W100 profiles the country’s most successful female business owners. Published in the November issue of PROFIT and online at www.PROFITguide.com, the PROFIT W100 is Canada’s largest annual celebration of entrepreneurial achievement by women.
“ The PROFIT W100 are a diverse group of entrepreneurs united by their passion, dynamism and smarts,” said Ian Portsmouth, PROFIT’s Editor-in-Chief. “They set a tremendous example for business leaders of all kinds, and we are proud to recognize them in our 13th annual ranking of Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs.” |
Bonnie has been a member of the Kalamalka Rotary since 2001.
InfoTel continues to be a true success story as is evident from the many awards
received, including the Canadian Independent Directory Association’s Publisher of
the Year for 2002, 2004, 2006 & 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011, 2012 and 2013.
InfoTel has carefully considered and researched the market areas in which it publishes
its directories. The directories are based on shopping districts, communication
zones of residents and commercial dealings of the area's population rather than
following the regions established by the provincial utility. The desires and needs
of the consumer both advertising in the book and the end user were carefully considered.
Each residential address receives a directory and businesses are polled to see how
many books are required. Hotels, motels and resorts also receive a book for each
rental room.
