Event Description

Join us as we discuss the enigmatic art of Lucian Freud and follow Martin Gayford's experience of sitting for a portrait for 9 months, wearing the same clothes and finding the same light. This narrative of creative process will open up discussion not only to Freud's work, but also to the current exhibitions as we explore artistic process. This month's recommended reading is, "Man with a Blue Scarf: On Sitting for a Portrait by Lucian Freud" by Martin Gayford.
